We need more details about your system.

[*]Does the BIOS detect the CDROM?
[*]Does the cdrom work in a "DOS" environment?
[*]Have you tried the CDROM on the same IDE cable w/ the HDD?
[*]Have you scanned for viruses?

BIOS does detect the CD-Rom.

How do i test the CD-rom in a "DOS" environment?

Mcafee found no viruses detected.

I tried the CDROM on same cable with HDD and gave me a blue screen error "Boot_mount_Volume" or something similar....

Im somewhat of a newbie to this so i might have done it wrong

Make sure you have the correct jumper settings on your hard drive for Master/Slave/CableSelect.

Ok,i tried the HD on the same IDE with the CD-Rom and it boots up fine but still installs drivers as usual
just with the same "error has occured drivers might not work properly"
