Maxtor drive Cable select jumper

I got 2 40G maxtor drive in RAID-0 setting. The jumpers are in master mode for both of them. Read somewhere that performace may increase if they are set in cable select mode.

this picture is confusing. 3 different pins config for 3 diff modes?

on master mode pin 45 is missing, yet on slave mode it's there. pin 46 is the empty one on cable select yet it's there in master and slave.

Can someone point me to the correct jumper setting for cable select?? thanx
