Maxtor DiamondMax Plus reporting wrong CHS figures?

Hi all,

Is there a known problem with that drive model? Installing SP1/2 for Win2k gets the Inaccessible Boot Device while Linux/BSD can't install the boot manager on this drive. I've got the 15GB "version" of the drive (can't remember the model number).

Anyone has similar probs?

A few days ago. Doesn't really matter when I format actually. Win2k dies after the patches are installed.
