Maxtor Diamond Plus 9 are too loud..any thoughts?

Last week I brought 2 Maxtor Diamond Plus 9 120gb hard drives from staples. The reviews on these drives said that they are SUPPOSED to be super quiet, but both of my drives are really loud. I also have a 80gb Maxtor inside my system now, and the 120gb drives are more the twice as loud as the 80gb one, especially when the drive is seeking (like when I'm extracting a bunch of rar files, or when I'm playing a bunch of MP3's), I can hear the drives making that "click click click" sound. I know that the click sounds are normal, but it shouldn't be this loud. Remember, both of my 120gb drives are this loud, so I don't think I got a defected drive. Anyone have any thoughts/solution to this?

You might want to get the Amset utlility I think it's called, from the Maxtor site. It will turn the disc into "quiet" mode at a loss of some speed of course. There was a long thread here last week about that, you might want to do a search for it.
