maxtor ata66 to ata100 firmware update? Where?

I remember a while back when maxtor released a firmware update that would upgreade some ATA66 drives to ATA100. where can I get it? ive tried searching but havent come up with it.
 
www.maxtor.com Click on "Software Download" and you will find the program "UDMA Update".

note: this is only for the DiamondMax 60 and DiamondMax VL 30 drives
 
tried that, that only sets the mode. I need the actual firmware update and that is not available publicly on the maxtor site
 
I guess I am not sure what you need then, this program is supposed to be used on the newer Maxtors to switch to UDMA mode 100. Is your drive not one of the ones this supports?
 
Im looking for the firmware update which ADDS ata100 support to the already ata66 capable drives. certain drives can have the functionality added with the firmware upgrade. I have 2 of those drives.
