Maxtor ATA100 on KT7A

i just bought the maxtor ATA100 and on the board it has its own pci slots (the orange slots) where you attach your ATA100 drives. i put the drive in and everything is fine. how can i tell that its configured for ATA100? can you tell somewhere in the bios? also, can anybody tell me a quick note on the RAID part on the board? thanks guys , i appreciate it in advance.
