I think the deal he's trying to tell us about is this:

Purchase these 2 hard drives from Staples:
> 40GB Hard Drive (428386) $99.98 ? $20.00MIR = $79.98
> 60GB Hard Drive (448145) $109.98 ? $20.00MIR = $89.98

They total right at $200. Apply the $50 off $200 coupon (I believe there's one out there?). Total comes to:

$200 - $50 coupon - $40 MIR = $110

EDIT: I found a problem with this deal. If you look at the Maxtor rebate form it mentions that you can only receive one rebate check per household. So it looks like it's $130 after rebate for both drives. Starting to get fairly cold.

The fine print says: One Rebate per household. Does that mean you can only get one of the $20.00 rebates? Does anyone know a way around that?

kovmat -- I think that's exactly what it means. If so, you can only get one rebate at any one mailing address.

Yep. Get another address, or use your neghbor's address and hope he's friendly enough to drop off your check when it arrives. :) After all, it's not gonna do him any good.
