Must be my unlucky day. First CSR tried to add Z-buy next day shipping, second CSR noticed it was an OEM drive, and then he noticed Gogocity's was a 40.9 gig... =(
maybe try another one later
maxtor only makes one model of 40gb 7200rpm drive. gogocity, z-buy, and staples are all selling the same drive. sometimes the store lists the gb due to different interpretations.
But I'd tried ordering from there and gave them the coupon code of 91216 ($40 off $200)and the csr told me that this for people who hold dividends in the company. I gave her 11037 (#30 off $100) and see says that I have to buy some Xerox product. Gave her 91062 and she says $30 off only if using their charge card. So what's the correct code for the $40.
I had them price match to the cnetpc
(Which I believe is the same company as Z-Buy), the csr said they charge a $4 fee for transactions or something (I know they don't bc I've order there many times), but she matched it for $157.50... so I didn't care. But I was surprised when I saw the total of my order and the reason was tax.... I didn't there would be tax :-(
However, I placed the order on hold bc I can't get the coupons to work. Can someone please assist.
The 45 gigger is the Dma 100 model with the 15 gig platters. The 40 gigger is the one with the 10 gig platters. Anyways, yes, there are different hd's out there.
