Deal starts Sunday 4-13-03:

Office Depot sku #368121

Model L01J040G

$98.76 - $30.00 Mail-In Rebate - $20.00 Instant Savings = $48.76

Use a $20 off $75 coupon (Google "Office Depot coupon")

final cost = $98.76 - $20 instant - $20 coupon = $58.76 + TAX
net = $58.76 (+tax) - $30 rebate = $28.76 (+tax)

Since this is a weekly ad item, the easiest way to get it is in-store by choosing in-store pick-up.

Just realized all the $25 off $75 coupons expired on 4-10-03. So it's $28.76 + tax.

How fast is Office Depot with thier rebates?

If it is an OD rebate, these go through expressgroup, and they are reliable, but somewhat slow. Count on 12 weeks, but they do come. They are really fast at putting your information into their system (which you can check at their website), but slow to pay.

It could be a Maxtor rebate, which go to parago. I think think parago has been somewhat slow lately, as most of my Maxtor rebates from them have also taken 3 months.

If the $20 off of $75 is expired, you could try the $10 off of $50. Just not as hot a deal

EBates $20 off $75 link to Office Depot is no longer working, FYI...so until more coupons come out (at least ones greater than the weak $10 off $50) this deal is DEAD.

The deal is not dead. There are other places to get coupons.Only no posting that here, of course most of you know that already & prob already know where to go, LOL. There is a 15 off $50 that is still valid. Google is the hot tip.

Don't panic, Ebates has a bad link, that's all, but the $20 discount will show up when you add items to your cart. I've made a purchase already, just continue pass the initial page.

Did you get the new price ($78.76) before rebate & coupon? It's still showing up as $99.99 for me :frown:

Sorry I meant I used the coupon on a different order. You are right the price is still $99.99 for me, will have to wait till morning and see if the price gets updated.

Thanks! That solves that...now we just have to wait until OD updates their site. Thanks for the tip! :)

Here is a link to the advertised price. Unfortunately, the online price hasn't updated quite yet.

Time to call a CSR...because I bet once the online price updates these drives will go fast. They are already listed as low stock in my area.

The in-store price is now $78.76. But the online price is still $99.99. So the most hassle-free way of getting it would be picking it up yourself. Otherwise, it may be possible to get OD.com to PM their own store price, but during last week's 80GB drive sale, many had reported problem with online price matching. YMMV.

Well... I'm going to buy it, have it delivered and then price match it this week. I tried selecting a local store for in-store pickup and every single store that I choose has insufficient stock, so I can't get the instant savings right now.

How do you get the $20 off $75 coupon for the store if this is through EBates? Just print out the cart or what? There is no code that I can see....don't they usually have to enter the code at the register when you purchase in store?

Anyone have success? My local stores say OOS, so I guess I have to wait and hope the site updates to add the instant rebate (just checked now, and as of 12:20 CST it is not up yet).

Yikes, spent 15 minutes changing tone from polite to PO'ed but still couldn't get them to do the price adjustment over the phone.
Guess I'd have to try my luck in the store...

When I tried to order this via phone at about 12:30am to get the 78.46 price, they told me to try again after 8am, "the web site should reflect the proper price by then". Of course that was bs, it still shows up as $99.
