Link!

Starts December 22nd.

HD is $149.98 - $20 instant savings + USB Card for $49.98 - $10 instant savings = $169.96 - $30 off $150 coupon = $139.96 out the door - $30 mail-in HD rebate - $40 mail-in USB Card rebate = $69.96 + tax!

All of this is from Staples and is posted on their site (except for the addition of the coupon.)
I haven't found a link to the rebates yet, but if they are from Staples, they should be quick. All my rebates from Staples have been received in a little over 30 days.

Enjoy!

Is it an "in-store" item? Will I be able to use the 5-digit coupon code when purchasing in-store?

Dea:

Is there a coupon for a $30 gift card if you spend $150? I haven't seen this and can it be combined if you use a $30 off $50 coupon?

I picked this deal up yesterday in store using a 30 of 150 printed coupon. I did not qualify for the giftcard because the total after the coupon was $139 and I did not add anything. Watch out if you buy this online, the recommend subbing a Belkin USB card for the MAxtor. The Belkin is only a 2 port but the Maxtor is a 5 port (4 external and 1 internal) Total cost after rebates is $69.99. That's a good deal to me.

gskuse - was the Belkin USB card available in-store, or only online?

The store I was at (Nashua NH) only had the Maxtor. But if you place the order through the website, it recommends the Belkin even though when I tried an online order it let me add the Maxtor instead. The rebate is the same on both, but obviously the Maxtor is a better deal.

But if you're buying the USB card solely as a "filler" item, why spend the extra $10.00????

You're not spending an extra $10. The card itself is normally $49.98. It's on sale for $39.98 and then minus the $40 rebate. So in effect you make 2 cents.

Here's a link to the page with the drive where they recommend the Belkin:

http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/SKU.asp?BCFlag=False&PageType=1&SKU=469898

I just checked the Belkin sku again and it appears they corrected the price. At 7:30 yesterday morning it read $39.99 not $31.49 as it reads now. I would still consider the Maxtor card the better deal even though it is about 9 bucks more due to the 3 extra USB ports on the Maxtor. You could even buy a Vantec 5 port card from CoolerGuys and only pay $25 for the 5 port, but there is no rebate. I'm almost willing to bet the Maxtor card is really a Belkin. But I don't want to stray too far off topic.
