Wow, I think this is a good deal. I stopped by CompUSA and they had the 250gig version for $179.99 after rebate.

I'll wait for the next sub $100 deal. I just missed BB's Seagate 300GB $80 AR deal by 1 day. :frown:

Tried half a dozen coupons codes (even the free mini-fridge one) and none of them worked. Every coupon has fine print that says "Does not include memory, networking, or drives."

Maybe the mailer is different, but all the codes I found from googling did not work with this hard drive.

Still a great deal and ordered one anyway.

Thanks rasputinj.

Do these have 1 year warranties or 3 year? I thought Maxtor had switched over to 3 year warranties.

this looks like it is oem-branded. if you look at OD's page it doesn't mention a brand. as such it would use whatever warranty that other party would like to include.

OK, I didn't see this office depot deal and jumped on the current Staples 250 gig deal at my local Staples B&M yesterday. I bought 2 of them, but they are sitting here un-opened. Can I return these and go with the Office Depot drives instead?
If I can return them, how long do I have to do so (I'd like to wait till I get the other drives just to make sure).

Regarding warranty: Most hard drive manufactures, you just goto thier webpage and put in the serial number and it will tell you the length of warranty. Some of them have differing lengths whether its retail or OEM (strangly enough recently OEM drives have been having longer warranties).

Its on the receipts as to how long you have. I dont know why someone would stop you returning them if they are unopened.
