Best Buy has Maxtor's 200GB PATA drive for $149.99
Staples has the same drive for $79.95 after a $40 in-store instant rebate (or after a $30 online instant rebate).
After having Best Buy pricematch the drive to $79.95, use the in-store coupon from this thread to purchase the drive for $59.95 + tax OTD and have no mail-in rebates to contend with.
The final price breakdown is:
$149.99 (Best Buy retail price)
-$ 70.04 (100% price difference for an instore PM at Best Buy)

$ 79.95
-$ 20.00 (in-store coupon -- it's good until September 10, 2005)
----------
$ 59.95 + applicable sales taxes.
Of course, you can also try a buy at $149.99 at Best Buy and shoot for the 110% pricematch which could cause the price to drop another $7.00. I would have tried it but knew that my local Staples had 1 more of the drives in-stock right before I went to BB and didn't want to miss out on my opportunity for this purchase!

First to allisolm for her thread on the 160GB Seagate in which she points out that Best Buy has a $20 in-store only coupon that is good through September 10, 2005.
Second, to AMDCrazy for this thread on Staples' sale on 200GB Maxtor drives for $79.95
Hopefully this will help someone out with buying a drive for a relatively small out-of-pocket expense.

Modified to "AC/PM" with a YMMV due to the relative uncertainty as to which BB will accept the coupon and which will not.
