160GB SATA $29.99, Maxtor
160GB PATA $29.99, Maxtor
300GB STAT $49.99, Maxtor
300GB PATA $49.99, Maxtor
400GB SATA $69.99, Western Digital <- not a good deal (in my opinion)

There are some $25 off $75 coupon codes out there for Staples.
Free shipping over $50.
FYI - This is Online Only!
Enjoy!

I wound up getting 2 300GBs using a $25 off $75 coupon. Final price with tax was $79, so ~$40 each ain't bad at all.

Slick5150,

Can you share the coupon code (is it a5-digit code), or is it a one-time use coupon ?

Thanks.

Earlier this morning I successfully ordered 2 of the 160GB SATA drives, so some at least are back in stock. I didn't check any others.

My brother snagged two 300's. He gets one, I trade him 2 gb ram, my 80 gig Seagate, and a little cash for the other.

Everybody wins! YAY!

"Valued Staples Customer,

Re: Item #: 663890, the Maxtor 160GB Int Sata HD kit

Unfortunately, the inventory on the "special buy" item you ordered has been depleted due to high
demand. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. You were not billed for this item."

Received them today, they are the "Get 20GB Free!!" drives, so the 300 gig was actually 320.
Are they 7200.10 drives made by Seagate? (It would say so on the drive itself.)

When you said earlier that you had "successfully ordered" two of the 160GB SATA drives, I kind of figured they might contact later to tell you they were out of stock. When I ordered a couple, the order appeared to go through, but I received a call from a rep in Kentucky a few hours later to tell me they were out of stock. She asked me if I would like to order any of their other drives, so I chose a couple of 320GB SATA drives. They're supposed to arrive on Wednesday.

Hmm, didn't check that far ahead. Will do so when I get home and update accordingly.

Just looked at mine, and they are Seagates.
