Not bad deal, just had to order it over the phone since Staples.com would not take my ID on the website

I also jumped on this deal instead of the Best Buy 60GB b/c there is not as much out lay of $$ waiting for rebates. Also I have had much better luck with staples rebates.

Grabbed one in preparation for the inevitable hard drive upgrade required by a family member. It's hard to find a cheap (<$50) drive when you need one.

[edit] - AFA Rebates go, another vote that staples is very good. Sent in quite a few and gotten them all. Even the ones that only needed a copy of the UPC or Receipt.

Let's just say this Tigerbait. I have sent in 4 rebates with Staples within the last 8 months. I HAVE RECEIVED ALL OF THEM. ALSO, I had a $40 rebate with an Maxtor 80GB hard drive. I sent it in and low and behold I received a confirmation online that I was ready to receive it! I received my $40 rebate in freaking 2 weeks!

That's my experience with Staples. They are super bad ass with rebates and they always arrive. Just remember to make copies of everything just for your sake.

I highly recommend starting your Staples rebate online. This gives you some piece of mind as you know that Staples is expecting your rebate paperwork, instead of just dropping it in the mail and hoping it arrives.

Thanks, luv2save!

I don't even need a HD right this minute, but this is too good to pass up. The order's in, now let's just cross our fingers that there are no rebate hassles (and I've had good luck with Staples rebates).

Thanks again!

:)

staples is very good w/ rebates. my last rebate took 20 days to get to my bank teller. i'm still amazed at them.

also, my cdrw rebate for the cendyne drive was messed up, my ordered was pushed back a day (beyond the rebate date) because of computer problems. I called up, was assured the rebate center would adjust accordingly. Around rebate time, i get the rejection post card... angry as hell, i call up and explain the situation, 5 minutes later, i check on the web and the status of "rejected" is changed to "being processed, it will be in the mail soon."

Anyone know where you can find the $15 off $75 coupon? Can't find it at any of the usual suspects :(
