Saw the review and they are quite impressive (although its a Maxtor).

Just wondering if there are any ETA's to shelves? Also, does the Gigabyte controller on the new SLI's support NCQ? Maybe the SATA II one?

From the review the drives speed would be almost gone if not for a controller supporting NCQ (in Anand's review he said only Intels ICH6R has it).

I think the 7B300S0 and 7B250S0 (and EIDE counterparts) are claimed to be higher-end drives, when compared to the 6B series. However, others have said that the 7B and 6B drives are identical. At one point, when both lines had just become available, they could be found within $10 of each other at vendors like NewEgg. Now, the price range can be as wide as $50 or more.

The 6B200S0, 6B250S0, and 6B300S0 are the Maxtor DiamondMax 10 series. Their performance should be equivalent to the MaxLine III series.
