Hello Folks, whats up ?
I recently bought some new hardware and putted it together last week. The computer works SUPER FINE, STABLE, bla bla. The issue is the Following :
When i turn on the computer, the Motherboard's BIOS Logo shows up with the ROG LOGO and below some text that says press DEL to enter Setup. It stays like that for about 30 seconds, then move on and continues, then the computer boots just fine. The LED QR Code indicator also stays at "64" while the BIOS Logo is being shown, curiously when i restart the computer, the logo doesn't even show up, it boots in 12 seconds, thats weird! I tried turning off completely the PC and disconnected the power cord, reconnected and turned on, and the BIOS Logo only lasted 3 seconds and then windows was loading. I shouted, yes, it got fixed. But when i get home i try again and it happens again, stays TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long booting up stuck at code 64, then starts just fine. Any idea whats going on with this behavior ? The MB came with the first released bios and updated to the last, it did nothing unfortunately, tried settings bios at default with no changes.
The only things i changed was CPU Core RATIO Sync ALL and changed multiplier to 42, Max cache ratio to 42, Overclocking tune to XMP, Voltage to manual and 1.10v (I bought 2 memory kits, 1x SILVER 2X4 GB 1600 C9 Vengeance PRO, 1x RED 2x4 1600 C9 Vengeance PRO And paired KIT 1 in slots 1 and 3, and KIT 2 in slots 2 and 4
Storage: 1 year old Samsung 840 PRO 256 + 3 Months old WD Caviar RED 1.0TB
PSU: Corsair AX1200i
What i think it could be:
1- Defective CMOS Battery?
2- Mixing two memory kits could be the issue even both being the same specs and brand
3- PSU is going bad? (Always worked perfectly)
4- Bent pin during CPU installation or during Cooler Installation ?
5- SSD is going bad?
6- Compatibility issues or some BIOS settings is causing this?
7- My CPU is delided running with Coollaboratory Liquid PRO, could the delid process damage something that causes this? (CPU Survived 9hs PRIME95 Test with 4.6 OC and 1.275v Core Voltage, never had a single lag or freeze in windows or anything. The only issue is the boot logo load stuck at code 64)
I ran out of ideas.
What the hell is wrong here?
