I've been doing a lot of research in preparation for my upcoming build in February. I've locked down the CPU and I've narrowed down the Motherboards. I'm going with the Formula obviously given the title. My question is this.
The Formula/ThunderFX bundle is about $80 more or less than the stand-alone Formula board. Does anyone have experience with the Thunder FX? How much of a gimmick versus actually useful equipment bundled in is it?
I know that the ThunderFX is only available in the Motherboard Bundle and a very cursory search seems to turn up nothing about the ThunderFX being sold by itself. Any other reviews that I've come across never actually give a quality review it's only mentioned in passing before the start dissecting the board. Would I be better off saving the $80 and put it towards a pair of A40s or Sennheisers?
