I hardly see any posts re the maximus formula II. All write-ups read favourable even though its quite expensive. It kinda fits what I am looking for but I wonder if the reason I hardly see any posts is because it has problems in the field. Anyone knows if it has any issues or reasons why I should not get it? Am thinking of using it as my base for o'c'ing.

As a base for overclocking what? seriously.. a quad or dual - here's the low down, dualies will overclock pretty good on this board: some XS guys have gotten their combo using the MIIF board up around 600fsb. Quads will top out generally around 480fsb. The board is full of features. I had one that I ended up selling off for a Gigabyte UD3R - I am currently atm pushing 500fsb x 7.5 on a Q9550 I just picked up. Running P95 With this board and a Quad, usually the cpu will crap out before the board.

Hi BTRY, want to oc an E8600 dual. Want to see how far I can push it on air and yet remain stable enough to get thru flight sim x which is fairly cpu intensive. Then maybe try it on water. Will beat the crap out of this thing b4 I am thru with it.
