Maximus Extreme Problem

I built this computer about 8 months ago:

Intel 9650 Quad
4 x 1Gb OCZ Flex memory
9800 GX2
X-Fi soundcard
850W Powersupply
Vista64

It worked fine for 6 months, then one day we lost power while it was in "sleep mode". upon restart it would go to the dratted DET DRAM msg and hang.

I switched memory around (removed and added) with no change. Then I switched the video card to a 8800GT and it posted. After that, I put everything back to original hardware configuration and all was fine.

Fast forward to last week. While re-wiring the house I went and turned off the Main power (of course I forgot the computer was in sleep mode). Now I am back to the dratted DET DRAM msg and hang. All fans, cards, etc fire up, but no post :(

I tried my old tricks, switching memory around (including some memory from diff computer - but same OCZ flex) and swaping out video cards. I have searched the forums and only found some post about setting the NB voltage to 1.4v(?) and some other remedies, but these dont seem to apply here since my board / hardware combination has been working for months before the power snafu.

Any suggestions / guidance are greatly appreciated. I'll try anything and I'm running out of ideas (I hope my house wiring skills are better than computer trouble shooting :)

Thanks

Sorry, forgot to mention I have tried clear cmos (button on back) everytime I have tried different memory/card configuration.

Also it might be relevent to note I did not change any voltage settings or do any overclocking with this system, so everything was running fine at default settings prior to the "mishap".

P.S. I am thinking of buying some cheap memory to see if that will get it to post. However, I have found many reviewers say they have similar "no post" problems with other brands. Any suggestions of some cheap DDR2 memory that "should" work with the Maximus Extreme board?

Thanks

Can you get to the BIOS at all?

Have you tried it with just 1 stick of memory?

Also which 850W PSU is it?

---
I'm wondering if it is because of the non-standard voltage OCZ usually uses...

I had the same issue about a couple of weeks back... and as you can see, I have the same config as you, except that you have the Maximus Extreme...
Power went out when my PC was in sleep and when power was back I had the same problem you are detailing... I used a different RAM module, booted into vista and shut it down properly (imagine my ordeal, booting vista x64 with 1GB of ram!!!)........ then I turned it on again, reset the BIOS from the BIOS itself...put in the usual RAM modules and Things were working fine..... Seems strange, there's no logical explanation as to how the things I did solved my problem, But i guess it had something to do with the BIOS...
