Maximum VGA Cable Length?

I looked around and couldn't find any definative answer on this.

Does anyone know what the maximum realistic length for a VGA cable is?

TIA

These guys have 100' for UXGA (1600x1200). I use a 25' model for my HTPC, and its excellent for 1080i with no noticable difference to my short cable. That 100' cable has to getting close to max without amplification.

From that link:
Accommodates cable runs up to 100ft without a booster (in most cases)

I've definitely seen issues with VGA cables as short as 15ft (albeit in electrically noisy computer labs). In an environment without a lot of EMI, you could probably push 100ft, but you might see degradation at high res/refresh rate settings.
