Maximum recommended temperature for T-Bird 1333 MHz

Does anyone know the maximum recommended temperature for a T-Bird 1333 MHz? My computer is running fine, but the temperature is 53 C when idle and can go up to 61 C when it is running CPU-intensive applications, although the usual maximum is 58 C. I've been told that the CPU temperature should always remain below 50 C and I was wondering whether my CPU temperatures are a problem. Also, any comments on the effectiveness of the ADDA B53 CPU cooler on a 1333 MHz T-Bird would be helpful as that is the cooler I am currently using. (My CPU is NOT overclocked.)

AMD says under 75C is safe. Under 65C very hot, but ok.

I'd say if you're full load crosses 60C, though, that it's time to look into some better cooling. Not sure about your specific cooler, but did you use thermal grease or just the cheesy thermal pads that come with it?

I used Arctic Silver II, not the the thermal pad. And actually, the 60+ C temperatures haven't occurred since I updated my BIOS. So far it looks like the maximum is, in fact, 58 C.

well, i guess you have to wonder how accurate your temperature sensors are. my 1.2 ran about 58C with stock cooling, so i wouldnt' worry too much. Athlons were designed to run hot (unfortunately)
