Maximum PC's Best of the Best

Maetryx here,

I'm a long, long time reader of Maximum PC magazine, all the way back to when it was called "boot". Anyway, they keep a website up with the hardware that they consider the Best of the Best. Because it is based on results of their print magazine reviews, I suspect it falls behind.

So I thought we could discuss in this thread what the current best of the best list should be, or acknowledge that Maximum PC is reasonably current.

I'm going to be building a gaming system in the near future. Should I follow Maximum PCs list? Something else? I appreciate any input.

No. Maybe something like a Sharky Extreme build list or something but not Maximum PC.
