Nice! This is the one PC mag I actually enjoyed reading when my roomate got it. Ive since moved out, so a subscript of my own would be awesome. Im goin with the 7.20 for 2 year one..

For this price I'll have to renew...but has anyone noticed the decline in the quality of that magazine? It used to be targeted at enthusiasts, but now it seems that every other issue is a "how to build your own PC!" article, and 1/3 of the magazine is a 1&1 ad. Also, they've gotten a lot more consumer-ish too, like in the Vista issue where they urge against using x64 because it "doesn't make sense" and 'causes too many headaches for normal users'. I thought the whole point of this magazine was that its readers WEREN'T normal users?

Aww no. I haven't had this mag in years, don't tell me that. It got me started in PCs, and taught something new every time. I don't want refresher courses for the next two years 😛

Agree with you %100. When I first got into it the mag was slim, minimum ads and the level of technicality was way above average. Now it is turning too general. Screw that. Why can't US have its own hardcore hardware mag like UK does? Ex; Custom PC (great mag, but $14 at my local Barnes and Noble).

That's why I listed bestdealmagazines and not netmagazines. I felt that the low reseller rating made it a bad deal. What is a cheap price if you never get the magazine? bestdealmagazines had a middle of the road rating and most complaints were due to late start times on the subscriptions but they did get the magazines.....

Thanks OP, renewed for one year at $3.94. They take PayPal, which is nice if you don't want to give best deal your CC info.

unfortunately I have to agree with the decline of the mag. I will have to renew my subscription at this price though. I remember when there were insights to things you can do with the computer or its programs. Now there is virtually none, the occasional month will have something, but its mostly how to build a pc, the must haves for a pc toolkit, or something else they are rehashing from two months ago.

I agree totally with the above posts.

MaxPC help me build my first PC in 20001, I think it was. The first issue I read was about how to make a homebuilt watercooling setup including use of a butane torch. Badass! Nowadays that hardcore stuff would never be on there.

LOL at the PC toolkit, a total rehash of the same article like 4 months ago.

I?ve ordered about six different magazine subscriptions from these guys.
And two-thirds of them arrived without issue.
It took a little more than a year to get two subscriptions that I ordered, along with numerous emails along the way, but they finally did arrive.

At least it?s cheap! 😀

I've ordered several subscriptions from Best Deal and only had one problem - a subscription that never arrived. I wrote to customer service and they responded right away and got it taken care of. I'd order from them again. I'd say the best deal I got from them was 4 years of The Week magazine for $15.00 (that's the whole 4 years, not per year).

That is not the point:
Best Deals (on the 2yr/$7.20) takes you to NetMagazines.com site. THESE people are the ones to avoid. AVOID anything dealing with NetMagazines.com.

I'm not trying to stear anyone wrong. If the deal seems worth it to you, go for it. At least I added my honest input/experience.

Where are you seeing the redirection to netmagazine's site? I clicked on the link provided by the OP and it goes to bestdealmagazines, I search for maximum PC and it is still on bestdealmagazines (2 years for $14 before coupon). I then proceed to checkout and it is still on bestdealmagazines site.....

You were starting to scare me for a minute there.

The business addresses are also at opposite ends of the country.

Bestdealmagazines:

BEST DEAL MAGAZINES
1474 THIRD AVENUE
NEW YORK, NY 10028

Netmagazines:

NetMagazines.com
1420 5th Avenue
Suite 2200
Seattle, WA 98101
