Maximum Overdrive

Whilst browsing the local Best Buy I came across a Stephen King movie from "86, Maximum Overdrive.
Faintly remembering the movie, I decided to pick up the DVD for a late night King fest.
Driving home I see that the musical score is by AC/DC, excellent ! I think to myself, One of my favorite authors mixed with my favorite band.
So last night I popped that bad boy in and promptly went into shock :Q
Man "O" Man, Stephen King can surely write books, but has absolutely no talent what so ever when it comes to directing :confused:

I am totally speachless

Notes ;

Emilio Estevez is the lead star

The woman who plays Lisa Simpsons Voice is in it. Yeardley Smith

For those who have seen it, what's your opinion ?

Edit;

I think this movie qualifies for the king of camp :)

When the woman on the swing was strangled by her headphones, I knew I was not in for a high caliber 90 minutes of movie making.

I thought it was an okay movie. I liked the part where the vending machines start attacking the people and shooting cola can projectiles out at 100 mph.

What a shrill and very unpleasant voice she has in this movie...UUggghhh...EEEWWW

Funny, I always pictured in my mind what she would look like, a young thin Red Head with brown eyes, not at all what I expected.

I'm surprised you've never seen Yeardley Smith before. She used to be in some tv show (although I forget which one) when the Simpsons were around.

I never knew she was even an actress before she played Lisa Simpson.
I must say, she has played Lisa very well over the years :)

I remember watching 87 with my dad. Still trying to figure out how a push lawn mower was able to "turn against" it's owner and cut him/her up. Over all it sucked as a movie.

Herman's Head. Was an original concept - 4 'people' inside a guys head all showing different perspectives on any given situation. You had the sensitive woman voice, the chauvanistic voice, the snooty voice, and the scared voice.
