I was reading up on things and it turns out that windows XP (pro) only supports a maximum of 4GB of ram. but apparently this is 4GB for PCI cards as well... So if I have the 7950GX2 which is a 1GB Vcard and 4 gigs of ram.. what will happen to the ram??? will it get registered or will it only show 3 gigs??? please help...

First, XP will only show 2.83 or so of RAM even with 4 gigs, the RAM of the card is not the same so it would not affect XP at all. Nes pa?

are you sure abt that.. because I was reading up on this and many poeple have reported 3.6 gigs as the maximum they have been able to get.. but they also say soemthing about the processor being 32bit... but the Core 2 Duo is 64 bit(unless im mistaken) ..... sooo thats why i was wondering.

Yeah you'll need a 64-bit OS to take advantage of the RAM. Just having a 64-bit processor does nothing.
