Maximum hard drive support for nForce2 chipset?

I have an MSI K7N2GM2-LSR motherboard that uses an nForce2 chipset (nForce2 SPP/nForce2 IGP to be exact), and I'm trying to figure out the largest hard drive capacity that is supported. MSI doesn't have an exact number in their specs for some strange reason, so I was wondering what other people's experiences have been with their nForce2 motherboards. For any of you who have worked with an nForce2 motherboard, what is the largest hard drive you've been able to hook up? Even if you worked with a motherboard different from mine, maybe I can at least get an idea of how likely a 300 GB drive would work with this board.

hmm never worked with one... but in my opinion the HD capacity isnt Hardware limited, its in the software and partition.
but I may be wrong. 😉

I've installed a 300GB SATA on an Asus A7N8X Deluxe rev 1.04. One of the first NF2 boards, around 2 or 3 years old now. I don't think hard drive limitations are an issue.

If you're gonna use it for your boot drive you can only have a maximum partition size of 132 GB until you get XP's service packs loaded. If it's just gonna be a extra data disk and you already have service packs you'll be just fine.

HD size is OS limited. just break it up like bwnv said.
