Maximum clock speed for Q6600

I am just curious what is everyone's maximum clock speed for overclocking Q6600 on air?

I am curious because I am trying to get my system to hit 3.8Ghz on air. The only thing worrying me is the normal temps of around 49oC .

edit: Overclock without lapping the cpu 😛

i think you should be happy with your 3.6 like in sig and call it a day.

the 200mhz into 3.8ghz territory is water territory 95% of the time.

the 200mhz increase in speed wont be noticible, unless your anal like i am.

Aigo is right, he is anal about his stuff🙂..............Just for kicks, I am running smooth with what I have in my sig. Did try @ 3.2 but wanted the voltage down to a min so 3.0 is just dandy!

meh thought of squeezing every little bit from my system as possible😛

Did some tweaking to the GPX at got the memory bus speed up to 1038 , thats as much as the card will allow me to push.

Overall I got a 13029 score in 3DMark06 with default settings. I can't really compare it as it says there is only one system with similiar specs. Is that a good score ?

FSB 398 x 9 = 3.582
vcore: 1.3500
load temp (limiting factor) 69-72C

current:
FSB: 8 x 400 = 3.2ghz
vCore 1.323
load: 55-59C

My friend has 3.67Ghz on his Q6600 G0. Temps under load are like 55-57C in CoreTemp. Vcore is set to AUTO on his mobo.
He's currently limited by the speed of his ram, he has SuperTalent DDR2-667 running at 816MHz.

@OP, that's a mighty low load temp for you @3.6 and that high of a vcore. What's your ambient, 15c? What's your distance to tjmax?

i have 3.8 with mine however im under water cooling and my under load temps dont pass 58c i have had this thing up to 4 gigs but its way to hot for my liking!!
