Maximum Cacheable Area of K6-III, K6-II+ and K6-III+

There is a great confusion on the net talking about the maximum amount of RAM these K6-X chips can cache. For example, some people say K6-III can cache up to 512MB, some say 4GB. What's the maximum cacheable area of those chips?? where did u find it?? I need a clue so I can justify the total amount of RAM to be installed on my K6-III machines.
