maximizing pocket pc battery life

i just bought a maestro and i use it a lot at work. by a lot i mean sometimes i work an eighteen hour day and i often read a lot of the stuff from avantgo (economist, nytimes, wsj, etc) as well as using all of the more important organizer functions.

as i see it, there are at least two good solutions to the poor battery life problem.

1. bring a charger with you.
2. turn off the front light using the POWERSAVE function.

without the frontlight the unit is the same as a color palm Vx. i find there is plenty of incident light to make the screen easily readible. of course i may be biased because my last organizer was a palm Vx.

overall, though, i'm still very impressed with the unit. and the color screen is a real novelty to use.
