Maximized windows problems

Whenever I try to maximize my windows in Internet Explorer 6 beta (in Windows 2000), it doesn't fully cover the screen. It's about the height of the titlebar from the top of the screen, revealing that portion of the desktop. IE is the only program that won't maximize fully. Explorer windows work. I've tried restarting and some registry tricks but nothing helps. I can't uninstall IE6 since the uninstall didn't put an add/remove entry and the included uninstall program doesn't work. This first happened when I decided to unload windowblinds after trying it for a few minutes. I tried looking at Stardock's documentation but I didn't find any info about this problem. I wouldn't mind reformatting (it's getting to be about that time anyways) but I'd like to hear of some more things to try before I go down that route.

Is this beta downloadable? Id like to try it and see if I have similar results.. it appears however that windowblinds corrupted you.. you prolly should try an overwrite install and if that doesnt work, backup data and reformat.

Ok, I just installed it and find no problem like this at all.. must have been corrupted by the other proggy
