Maxima turning circle

so i'm over at nissan driven comparing maxima to other cars and it says the max has a turning circle of 59 feet! everything else turns in ~35 feet. whats up with that? how do you manuever in a garage?

The Nissan engineers need to learn to crank the wheel till the power steering pumps whines, just like my Dad does.

thats interesting that nissan's site says 59 if its really 40. thats still a good 5 feet more than anything else in its class. heck, its out-turned by a mustang

I have a 2001 Max SE, and its turning circle is relatively large (though I think it is closer to 40 feet than 60). The optional "Comfort and Convenience" package, which I have, includes 17" wheels with 225mm-wide tires, and to prevent them from scrubbing the inside of the wheel well they have locked out the outer limits of steering wheel travel on cars with the larger wheels.
