Just dropping a note that costco has the maxent 50" plasma HD tv now for $1699. Probably the lowest price for a plasma, and 50" at that. This maxent MX-5020HPM has no built in tuners, its just a monitor. And the speakers can not be detached. But the picture is fantastic. Especially for $1699.
Actually I got mine for $1499. Costco's price was $1999 minus their $200 instant rebate/coupon that expired 10/31. So I got this for $1799. Then they dropped the every day price to $1699 this week. I went in for a $100 price adjust and they not only gave me the $100, they reapplied the $200 coupon, since I qualified for the original purchase, they re applied the $200 to their new $1699 price making it $1499 and giving me back $300 + tax. Great price and a great HD plasma tv. Some flaws, like no tuners and un removable speakers, but for $1699 its a great 50" tv.
And if ANYONE got this from costco with in the last 30 days and paid $1799 with the coupon deal, run back over and get your $318 back on this set. Eye candy!!!
