Anyone knows the answer to the question? ;) Forgot what those processors are called... Uhh... Coppermines?

Katmai? Is that the one you are thinking of? Prior to the Coppermine, P3's were 2.0v default, most prudent overclockers would not go more than 2.3v...some wanting to push it would go 2.4 :)

Whops.. It's Katmai then ;) Hmm.. What's Mendocino then? Well, I guess I can safely oc mine then. Too bad it ain't a Coppermine :(

What is it, a 450?

Those OC best, sometimes to 600 and beyond. I have one that will run 630 at default voltage and 675 at 2.2 :)

500 and up usually did not do much.

Well, it might do 600-650, with good cooling, you never know til you try it. ;)

I seem to recall that the 550 katmai would do x112fsb with default voltage & stock heatsink. it didn't like o/clocking very much futher regardless of what else you tried because of problems with the L2 cache!

The mendicino cores are for the PII"s and the original celerons i think. And i have a 500 that i got to 667 at 2.2 volts but it just wont run at 700mhz properly. Need some extreme cooling.
