Max stable is 582/1220 on a Arctic Silencer 6, Rev. 2. It artifacts like crazy if I go futher on the core. I wonder if my PSU is holding me back. I'm trying to get 600/1200 stable although I think you would need a volt mod for those speeds.

What do you score in 3dmark05?

Leadtek PCI-E 6600GT, Stock cooling
590/1200
3dmark05: 4270 using 81.85 (stock was 3625)

I've now sold it, but I've got comparable stock 6600gt and 6800gt settings for my rig...see sig - non OCed at stock 3200+.

The core artifacts beyond that. I wish I had tried it on a VF700, maybe, just maybe it would have got 600/1200.

BTW my 6600GT is on stock cooler and i have a S**T PSU (QTEK 500w)

but lack of mem OC still driving me crazy...

my 3DMark05 score went from 3601 --> 4182

temps max out @ about 76... stock they were 72... so not much of a raise...!!!

BUT STILL PRETTY DAMN HIGH IMO

Tried your overclock and it works perfect with stock cooling.

I am willing to push it further! Keep the feedback coming! The more I push this Leadtek, the more I like it.

Congrats! I'm surprised that you can run it at those speeds since my 6600 GT is also by Leadtek and before the Silencer, I could only run it at 560/1150 :(. I also have adequate cooling in my case... Guess the Silencer made a hugh difference in terms of cooling performance.

On my old XFX 6600GT I got up to about 600/1220 max, but it was still unstable in some games. Stable core was about 580, stable mem was 1220.

So that means 4AA/8AF, 8AA/16AF?

Single-card operation, not SLI!
600/1305, VF700Cu cooled
630/1330, VF700Cu cooled, voltage modded from 1.4 to 1.7 :D
Gainward 6600GT TV-DVI-DVI Golden Sample 128mb (1.6ns RAM)

SLI max with two of these babies: 588/1305, both VF700Cu cooled.

Mine isn't a 'winning' overclock by any means, but I wanted to chime in for those who aren't able to get crazy numbers on their cards.

I have an eVGA 6600GT (AGP) and it will accept clocks of about 570 core and 1050 memory (stock is 500/900) and can pass some benchmarks at those speeds, but it is only fully stable at 550/1020. I've cranked up the AGP voltage, made sure the heat sink is mounted properly (stock HSF), applied Arctic Silver 5, etc. but my card just won't go any higher. It still runs all of the games I play just fine at these clocks, but it's a bit of a bummer that a card that should normally go much higher is stuck where it is. It might go a bit higher with aftermarket cooling, but the extra expense isn't worthwhile to me and I think I the card just has RAM that meets the specs for the 6600GT but nothing more so there isn't any overhead to play with..

Yes, that's the prerequisite for me to call it stable :)
No RAM artefacting up to 1330, this RAM Gainward used is just awesome...my second card's core is not as good as the first, so I have to back down in SLI...but a golden sample still...

Wow! Thats awesome. Gainward must be under-rated. I don't here of them too much.
