Max Safe temp for Athlon XP1900+

What is the maximum safe operating temperature for an AMD Athlon XP 1900+. I looked on AMDs webpage after running a search in the Anand forums and found something that says the "Maximum Die Temperature is 90C". Is the Die temp the one that everyone asks/posts about?

AMD says max CPU temp is 90C
but from what I see in here the temp range
goes from 30C-60C, it's really different
between one mobo and another.
the most important thing is your system is stable
and also CPU temp on Athlon is usually 10-15 higher
than ambien/case temperature.

My un oc'd processor is running between 45-50c under load. The ambient case temps are about 32-37c. I use a Digital Doc 5 to measure temps. I think its time to upgrade from the Alpha Pal 6035 to the 8045.

Almost nobobdy posts "die temps". They almost always post socket-thermsitor temps, adn rarely digital-doc type side-thermistor temps, which are better, but dont' report full die temp.

Depends on the mobos - If you're between 30c - 65c, you should be fine (assuming system's stable). My Asus ran 67c when OC'ed to 143fsb and system was stable.
