Max. PCI bus speed

😕Hi,
I was reading an earlier post where everyone was saying that
a 37 pci was max, especially for hard drives.
It seems that I have no choice to change this setting.
My choices are, 146 fsb=36 pci
148 fsb=37 pci
150 fsb=37.5 pci
ect.
148 fsb is my max. (will run windows)
So,question:
How do others get up to 160 fsb?
What is holding me back?
PCI,
Ram,
Heat (45-50c at full load)
Thanks,
Mort

i had my pci speed running at 41 on my old system. celeron 400 overclocked to 500 with an 83fsb. multiplier by 1/2 = 41mhz.

as far as what may be holding you back, it could be ram, it could be pci, it could be your chip, but any of those fsb's you listed are FAST!

I've been running on a 157MHz bus for about 2 and 1/2 months now without a problem. My PCI bus speed is 39.25MHz. The FastTrack66 RAID controller i'm using has it's own clock generator, so I don't know if thats whats helping with my disk array.
