Max PC is getting really sloppy

Was reading current issue today and even their charts don't match what's said in column anymore. Case in point, the RAM article says PC3200=DDR400=200MHz FSB, which is correct. However chart says it's 166MHz FSB and that PC2100 is 100MHz, which I think is wrong. Every mag has it's typos/errors, but I've noticed more and more in theirs lately. Very sloppy.

yes, definetly getting sloppier as of late.

I've read some pretty bad advice from there too. If that magazine was the only source of information, we'd have some pretty misinformed people out there.

Indeed, it's all I can do to keep from emailing them a number of flames with every issue. I think I'll re-subscribe to CPU Mag when my Max PC subscription runs out.
Has anyone gotten their March '04 MaxPC? I should have gotten it a couple weeks ago I think 🙁

That's nothing, they reviewed a P4 machine with Hyperthreading and called it a dual-processor rig. 😀

Not only that, but they won't give 2.1 speakers a perfect 10 since they aren't surround, but they give a wired mouse a perfect 10. 'tards :|

I haven't and I am getting irritated by it. I got my sub renewed at christmas and I am wishing I hadn't. Last month the cd didn't come with the mag and I still have received like I am supposed to according to their website.

Oh, yes. Major advertising shift. Remember Computer Shopper? In the beginning, while plenty of ads, it had good articles. By the time I stopped looking a few years ago, it was simply a huge book of ads.

I let my sub. run out to Maximum PC a few months ago. I got tired of reading the same articles that were hashed out last year, and over half the magazine containing ads. This magazine doesn't even earn the right to my toilet rack anymore.
