Okay this must be a bug I'm thinking or just a problem with computer. I can't load up the 1st level because after the 1st intro scene where he says the only way to make sense is to go back 3 years. After that screen fades and it starts to load the level, the game cuts out and back to the desktop and won't load up the level at all I tried 5 times in a row each with diffrent mhz clock settings bus settings ect thinking that its stability issues but nothing... Even when i put everything back to default settings. I think i heard of somone having this problem? Anyway I just baught the game and it would be nice to play the 1st level 🙂 Hope you can help Guess its time i e-mail the company too.
 
Yep, that's apparently a bug in the game. I've heard of others who experienced it.

There is now a v1.01 patch for Max Payne that addresses this issue. You can get it here. That ought to fix the crashing problem.
