I'm not experiencing any probs with the game, short of some "stuttering" or "delay" with the mouse movements vs. screen movements.

But I think that's attributable to playing the game with everything cranked to max. :D

Has anyone applied this patch yet? What kind of probs were you having before? Did it fix them? Did it CREATE any NEW probs?

Thanks.

I love games that don't 'require' patches. Max Payne (1 and 2) are definitely on this list.

OTOH...quite a big patch out for BF1942 today and now I can't play Desert Combat.

I installed it on my brother's system when I took MP2 home to him last month. So far, he hasn't had any problems with it, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet.

Thanks for the replies guys. :)

Hmmm, I may just throw the patch on there... I can always uninstall/reinstall the game if it fries. Thanks.

Well, I loaded the patch and I finally got past the level where Max is pinned down in the construction yard! Woohoo! The patch is a cheat! j/k ;)

No...I still suck.

Anyway, I notice the levels load faster. In the release notes, it says "level load faster for low-end systems." :Q Low-end? I don't think so! :Digust; But, I'll take it however I can get it, you know?

So far, the patch has no bad side effects and one seemingly good one. I say "install it." :)
