Max Payne 2-I cant use scope/zoom--Help!-SOLVED!!

For some reason I cant use the scope on my sniper rifle. I equip the rifle & hit use but the scope doesnt come up-Any idea on whats wrong?
The funny thing is the "use" button works-I can walk up to a cabinet & hit use & the cabinet will open, but when I equip the sniper rifle & hit use it does nothing

 
There is a different command to zoom with these weps. Look through the bindings again, and look for "Zoom" or "alt wep fire".

Im sorry, but you lost me-whats a "wep"?
 
I use the middle mouse button as the "zoom/use" binding. It works when I walk up to a cabinet & open it but it doesnt work with the sniper rifle or the mp5(both have scopes) no matter how long I hold the button down. Ive also tried binding to other keys, but no go
 
I figured it out. Im playing this on my 243t which is a 24inch widescreen at 1920x1200. I made a fov adjustment(changed it to 90) & when I did that the scope wouldnt work. Now I need to find a workaround or settle with a stretched picture
