Max partition size on WinXP Pro

I've got 2 x 320Gig drives coming and I've never had drives that large before.

I'm reading on the MS site, 1TB is the max drive size FAT32 supports, but I also heard an AT that 200Gig is the max partition size (but I can't find that little tidbit).

I'm trying to get ready for my build that is coming today/tomorrow, and how to format the drives, either as multiple FAT32 partitions or NTFS.

NTFS is better, especially for large partitions. Why bother with FAT32 at all.

Just stick with NTFS unless you need it read by a windows98, mac or linux machine.

Linux can't read NTFS? I thought Linux could read any filesystem. When I setup linux boxes, it has a list on the order of 100 different file systems you can can use for a partition format. I'm pretty certain NTFS was one of them.

linux read not writes... but i can write with a little work.
