Max memory XP (or Server 2003) will handle?

Hello,

I ordered parts for a new system and although I ordered 2GB (2x 1GB), I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and max it to 4GB. I will mainly be using my system as audio/video editing (and light gaming)... I'm wondering if XP (or Server 2003 as I have that too) has limit to how much memory it can handle? Just so I know I'm not wasting money on memory the os isn't going to use.

ps... what should the virtual memory be in each os if I have 2GB-4GB?

4GB is the max for XP...so you should be fine...

I had heard some boards have trouble addressing all 4GB of RAM.

Also, the timings become slightly slower when you use more than 2 sticks in dual channel mode.
