I have my trusty Powerbook G4 here needing a ram upgrade. I know that Apple says the max is 1.25GB, but what happens if you stick a 2GB stick in there? I know with my old Dell laptop, it said max was 1GB, but that was just because they didn't make larger sticks at that time. Has anyone tried a 2GB stick with success in the 12".

I realize this is under the software section, but this seemed like the place all the knowledgable mac people would hang out. Thanks a bunch.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no 2GB DDR-SODIMMs. The largest capacity is 1GB that i know of.

So even if it would work, the chips simply aren't available.

I just assumed that there were 2GB SODIMMs for regular DDR, but I just looked and only saw them in DDR2 so I guess it isn't even an issue. Sorry to bother everyone. Thanks for the help.
