Hi,

What is the max lenght USB cable for a printer ?

For example, can i use a 10 or 15 feet ?

In my room, the other desk is too far.

Thank-you !

16' 1/4" for straight USB cables.
You can also use USB-Ethernet adapters with Catx cable in between for extended ranges.

If you don't need 2.0 speed you could also use cables with active repeaters.

I go about 12 feet to router - the from router to printer is about 6 feet. It works.

I thought run length limit for USB was 30'. Or is that just USB 1.1 and I am showing my age?

I had a run of about 20 feet using two plain old cheapo usb extension cables linked together for a printer .(prior to rearranging everything in my office)
No issues whatsoever.

I just may test out how far it will work.
I have a ton of usb extension cables lying around.
