I'm tired of my keyboards falling apart when I use them, I am looking into buying a mechanical board. After doing a lot of research, I have decided that I want a Cherry MX Brown switch board. The X8, G710+ and the Quickfire all look like great keyboards, I was wondering what you guys think. I am leaning towards the G710+, because of its anti-ghosting keys and 26 key rollover. What do you think I should get?

Funny, I was in the same boat as you were before. I turned out I purchased a Déck Keyboard, with Cherry Clears. After using it for about 6 months, I don't like it. The clears have too much travel in the keys, and too much resistance. Though it's more of the "quieter" side of things, it feels closer to the rubber domes over time.

Anyways, the fonts on the keys are pretty ugly as well too. What I miss the most is the media keys, which this DOES NOT have any at all! Plus it has 6KRO over USB.

Then further research led me to see that I really want a nighthawk x7 with media keys, normal looking fonts, and FULL NKRO over usb. Plus it's cheaper than my Déck! I tried the blue's, and I think that's what I want. Felt it at Fry's the other day testing on a CM quickfire rapid. Almost plopped down for a Das, but nighthawk is where I need to be. If DAS was back lit + media keys and mx Blue's, I'm sold. But they don't.
