Mavs vs Spurs Game 3

Mavs got home court advantage.....the question is....can they take advantage of it?

I believe Mavs by about 16 tonight - they'll come out strong and play the best game of the series (that's not saying much considering they sucked in both Games 1 and 2)

Most of the teams in the West aren't just jump shooting teams. Look at Shaq, Duncan, Robinson, Webber, Wallace, etc. The best big men in the league play in the West, and they all have great low post games. The West isn't just a jump shooting conf.

duncan has skill

but he's double teamed right now and he aint doing much..
the rest however are basically just jump shooting.

I barely see any break aways or nothing.

All the mavs do is kick out and shoot.. BORING

Yeah, Duncan is amazing. I personally think he is harder to guard than Shaq too.

I have to agree the Mavs are a jump shooting team but to say that the whole conf. is a jump shooting conf. I'd have to disagree.
That is why people rag on the Mavs so much, they say that a jump shooting team can't make it to the finals.

Dallas is all about jump shots from the few games i've watched.

The Spurs are quite the opposite but are definately not playing their game tonight. The Spurs bench usually makes up a great deal of the offense but as of yet the bench scoring is almost null.

Correction... it is null... 0 pts from anyone off the bench!
 
Honestly

Almost all the Tall guys are Doofy...

Shawn Bradley I couldn't catch a ball if you threw it at him with some speed. Mutumbo couldn't catch it...
most tall guys can't with the exception of a few.

Shaq isn't just tall but he also has width. He can move as well.

I think that with Duncans ability to score from a wider range instead of right at the basket makes him harder to guard. Plus Duncan is a better passer than Shaq, so when he is doubled then he can kick it out. Shaq is a good passer, but I don't think he is as good as Duncan. I think that Shaq needs to lose some weight so that he can gain some stamina and mobilty. This year I noticed that he very often got out hustled for rebounds and such by more motivated people, he just looked tired.
 
you know who made Shaq look like a lead footed troll? Olajuwon in his prime. The dude was so agile and had more moves than a bowl full of jello 😀

Seriously, Olajuwon in his prime schooled Shaq quite a bit. I would love to see how well Shaq would do against Olajuwon if they were both in their primes at the same time. Now that would be the ultimate match up. Forget Wilt. :Q 🙂

Oh man... Dallas is getting killed... and I'm not talking about their point production. At least none of it is intentional (or questionably intentional). Just a tough game and bad luck.
