mATX board for mobile athlon overclocking

My old board just died (well, i killed it really) so I'm taking the opportunity to start assembling kit for a HTPC project.

I've decided on mobile xp, probably 2600, and I'm looking for a micro atx mobo with clock multiplier adjustment and having trouble finding one.

Anyone recommend anything?

Do you already have the mobile Athlon? If not, consider A64/Sempron754.

One mATX board has multipliers that I know of, Biostar using Nforce2 IGP - forgot model number. Otherwise, use the wire trick from OCinside.de to change multiplier manually.

the reason i was lookiing at the XPM is i think i could run it at standard speed i could run a cooler at low speed which would help with noise which is something i'm looking to keep down when in htpc mode. however, having just looked at some CPU comparisons, it does appear that sempron 3100 would thrash an XPM.

time for a rethink?

Yes, rethink. The socket 754 setups don't cost much more and do perform much better, plus AMD's Cool and Quiet tech does what you were thinking for the mobile.
