I'm a very specific gamer.
I'm looking for games with all these featur
es:
2D.
Mature (designed for adults, difficult, withou
t children elements).
Made in the West (America and Europe), not
Japan.
Modern (minimum 2010).
No Ubisoft (the racist hatred of their games).

uh... mature is relative.

For example, I find Terraria a pretty damn good 2D game. Then again, so do my children.
 
Leisure Suit Larry is being remade. Obviously, that is "mature" but I don't know anyone who hasn't played the original, and this is a remake not a sequel.

Actually no, I just can't think of any that fit all your require
ments.

Good luck with your search. I am sure there is something out there but you would have a whole lot more luck if you removed the 2010 clause. The runaway games for example.
 
After you posted this same question on the Steam Helps and Tips forum, someone had a good suggestion that I would agree with: Lone Survivor.

Have you watched any videos of it? Is this the kind of thing you are looking for? It's sort of a 2D Silent Hill game.
 
So he is trying to put together a list of games similar to the one he is making, so that he can use them to help sell his idea to a publisher? If not, this seems like a rather strange request. Although seeing his response in that other thread, I won't mention the 2D mature games that I thought of that were recently released.
 
Probably some shithouse android developer from China looking for a game to lift, rename and sell on the app store/play store.
