I've just bought a Western Digital 40Gb EIDE hard drive but my motherboard doesn't find it when I try to set it up in the BIOS settings. I have tried the HD in a Compaq computer and that finds it fine. I've updated the BIOS to the latest version from
www.matsonic.com but it still doesn't work. Does anyone have a clue why it doesn't work? I've heard that you can buy a card to run the HD off, any ideas where I might be able to get one of those as a last resort.
