I have googled to the max and can only find other forum posts about how much these drives suck. Unfortuneately, this is all I have. I found a couple on eBay for sale. A few were just new versions of what I have now, others were LG drives that supported dual layer burning. Would the LG drive be a step up in quality?
I'm wondering if anyone around here knows what I should try. I've tried virtually every trick in the book to get this drive working the way it used to. My manufacturer's warranty expired just a few weeks ago (amazing how that worked out).
Just wondering what I should do...
EDIT
I wanted to add that when this problem first started, I was on Windows XP SP2. I then formatted, and installed Vista. Keep in my mind this drive has no problem reading pressed discs. So, it still didn't work in Vista. I recently switched back to XP, and its still not working.
